“Szegedi's catered our daughter's wedding in April 2011. The food was excellent. DEFINITELY order the dessert / pastry table - it blew everyone away. All the guests still talk about it.”

Had to file dispute with credit card to get $ back
“Let me start by saying I will not ever recommend this caterer to anybody. My fiancee & I were looking for a caterer for our upcoming wedding in May 2011. We found Gigante online and met in person with the staff. Very friendly, very nice, and the food was delicious (in the restaurant in Novi)! We settled on a menu and gave a down payment and I even recommended them to a friend of mine. Unfortunately our plans changed and we didn't need to have an outside caterer, so we wanted to cancel (our signed contract had a full refund if notified more than 10 days out). This is where everything changed. It was impossible to get ahold of anyone; our emails were not returned, our phone calls were ignored. We started calling from our friends phones, because they would let the phone go to voicemail when it came in on our numbers we had provided. We wanted our money back and when we did get ahold of the staff, we were told a check would be in the mail this week, but that check never came. I ended up filing a DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY to get my money back, because thankfully I charged the initial payment. I would never do business with these guys. On top of that, at the venue for my friend in June, they received horrible service: the food was NOT what was ordered, hot dishes were served cold, the fruit tray was REUSED from a previous venue that day, and no accommodations were made on the day of the event. They also went through the phone call game to try and get an explanation, because unfortunately they had already paid in full since they had their venue. Not even an email or phone call to explain what happened. Ridiculous.”

All is NOT so peachy ...
“On 09-08-2010,at 20752 Ryan Rd.in Warren ,MI, I and every other driver that passed their building saw a HUGE sign in front of the MAIN customer entrance door saying 'HELP WANTED' but when I tried to get in no was at the door so I came 1/4 mile home and called. I was told there was NO help wanted sign in front, they were not hiring and someone was playing a JOKE!!! \nI was assured some guys had been laid off . I could not beleive what he said so I called the direct dial number and the woman said Honey, I Never Put a sign out. I wish I had taken a picture but if I see the sign again, I AM.”
